Beats Music was conceived as an iPhone app first. My responsibility was to port the design over to Android. The core functionality of all the pages was to remain as consistent as possible across platforms, while retaining some of the navigational patterns specific to Android. There were also a few subtle changes to certain design elements that made the experience seem more native to Android. The most significant challenge was that, unlike iOS, the Android app had to function seamlessly across multiple screen densities and aspect ratios. I led a team that was responsible for all Android-specific UX wireframes, design and production.
